Bio
Jeff, a partner in the firm’s Litigation practice group, is a New York-trained business litigator and former prosecutor who combines his passion for success in the courtroom with pragmatic problem solving outside of the courtroom. Jeff has demonstrated success in a variety of substantive areas, including commercial/business matters, real estate disputes, landlord-tenant actions, high-conflict/complex divorce and custody matters, False Claims Act cases, appeals, insurance litigation, and other litigation matters involving fraud and tortious conduct. Jeff also utilizes his prosecutorial experience to conduct internal investigations, defend individuals in white collar criminal actions, and to represent witnesses in criminal cases. Jeff’s roster of clients includes small and mid-size businesses, landlords and property owners, property management companies, business owners, high net worth individuals, and individuals accused by the government of fraud or criminal offenses. He is admitted to practice law in Maryland, Virginia, New York, and New Jersey and routinely represents clients in both state and federal courts throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. Jeff is a problem-solver at heart and often plays the role of “fixer” for his clients in unorthodox matters. Jeff is always prepared to aggressively litigate any case to the fullest extent when such an approach is warranted, but also understands when a practical resolution is needed.
Born in New York and raised in New Jersey, Jeff joined Rosenberg Martin Greenberg in 2018 after practicing business litigation as an associate at a mid-size, full-service business law firm in New York. Prior to his work in private practice in Manhattan, Jeff was an Assistant Prosecutor in the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office (NJ), where he gained substantial trial experience in felony, misdemeanor, and juvenile cases, in addition to arguing before the New Jersey Appellate Division. As a prosecutor, he investigated and prosecuted hundreds of violent crimes, gang-related offenses, sexual assaults, and felony firearms and drug offenses. Jeff began his legal career as a law clerk to the Honorable Paul M. DePascale, J.S.C. in New Jersey Superior Court.
Jeff lives in Baltimore City with his wife and two young daughters and is an avid sports fan and baseball player.
