LITIGATION/CREDITORS’ RIGHTS LEGAL ASSISTANT

Rosenberg Martin Greenberg, LLP is seeking a full-time Legal Assistant (35-hour work week) with experience in litigation to support our Creditors’ Rights Department. As a Creditors' Rights Legal Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting our attorneys with legal and administrative work related to creditors' rights, debt collection, bankruptcy, and related litigation. Responsibilities may include billable paralegal tasks as well as general administrative support. The ideal candidate will have a solid litigation background, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced legal environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys in preparing, reviewing, and finalizing pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents.
  • File and track court documents electronically, ensuring compliance with filing requirements.
  • Organize and maintain client files, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Communicate with clients, creditors, debtors, court staff, and opposing counsel regarding case status and document needs.
  • Conduct legal research related to creditors' rights, bankruptcy, and debt collection matters.
  • Monitor deadlines to ensure adherence to court procedures and filing requirements.
  • Provide administrative support, including scheduling, managing calendars, and maintaining client records.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate helpful.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in litigation, ideally with exposure to creditors' rights, bankruptcy, or debt collection law.
  • Familiarity with Maryland litigation procedures is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Detail-oriented and capable of working independently and collaboratively.

Salary Range: $65,000-$85,000 annual salary based upon experience
