C.J. Persson is a partner primarily working in our Business Planning & Transactions and Tax & Wealth Planning departments. Having a deep, practical understanding of the complexities of business operations and management, tax, brand protection, and succession planning, C.J. helps clients navigate the legal landscape to make strategic, informed, and tax-efficient decisions.  She provides counsel to owners and businesses at every stage, particularly those in the technology, healthcare, manufacturing and distribution, and quick-service restaurant industries.

With a background in business management, in-house legal and supply chain experience at a global wholesaler and retailer, and advanced tax law education, many seek C.J. as their general counsel,  compliance officer, or contract attorney. Whether guiding clients through multimillion-dollar acquisitions, product development, commercial leases, RFPs and government contracts, future ownership, or tax controversies, C.J. delivers pragmatic, informed advice focused on clients’ goals. Licensed in Maryland, C.J. also holds a LL.M. in Taxation and a CIPP/US certification, underscoring her holistic approach to legal counsel and her commitment to data privacy and regulatory compliance.
