Bio

Derek is an associate in Rosenberg Martin Greenberg’s Litigation and Financial Services practice groups, where he represents lenders, businesses, and property owners in a wide range of civil and commercial litigation matters. His practice includes disputes involving business contracts, loans, bankruptcy proceedings, commercial and residential leases, and issues concerning real and personal property.

Derek provides clear, responsive communication and delivers practical, results-oriented legal solutions tailored to each client’s goals.

Prior to joining the firm, Derek gained valuable behind-the-bench experience as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Keith R. Truffer of the Circuit Court for Baltimore County, where he developed a strong understanding of judicial decision-making and effective litigation strategy.

Derek earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Baltimore School of Law, where he served as President of the Entertainment, Arts and Sports Law Society and Vice President of the Real Estate Law Association. He graduated cum laude from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science in Sport and Entertainment Management.

Originally from Annapolis, Derek now lives in Washington, D.C. He is a passionate fan of D.C. sports teams and the South Carolina Gamecocks, and enjoys golfing in his free time.
