Bio

Dave Dembert advises individuals, families and business owners on estate planning, trust and estate administration, tax, business, and real estate matters. Drawing on more than four decades of legal experience and a background in accounting, taxation, and financial planning, Dave provides practical, comprehensive guidance tailored to each client’s personal, financial, and business objectives.

Dave works closely with individuals and multigenerational families to develop and implement estate plans, including wills, trusts and other sophisticated planning vehicles. He also represents fiduciaries and beneficiaries in estate and trust administration and has served as an expert witness in such matters. His background enables him to address the income, estate, gift, and fiduciary tax considerations involved in planning and administration and to prepare or review related tax returns.

Dave also counsels closely held and family-owned businesses on entity formation, succession planning, entity ownership and employment agreements, commercial leases, financing, and the acquisition and sale of businesses and real estate.

He is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel and is a Past Chair of the Maryland State Bar Association’s Estate and Trust Law Section Council and Past President of the Baltimore Estate Planning Council.
